I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (Melbourne) in Oct 2016
Interview
My interview process was over two interviews. First was the group interview, there was close to 40 ladies. We had to have a Polaroid photo taken to attach to our resume. Then we all sat down and the 5 sephora recruitment ladies introduced the brand Sephora to us as well as themselves. 4 were store staff and the other was the head of HR. After introductions, we watched a video about Sephora and then got split into two groups. We played the game heads up a number of times, we then had to pull something out of our bags and sell it. I choose my lip balm others choose coin purses, berrocca etc. Once everyone had their turn, we were directed back to our seats and had question time, where we asked them questions. Once all questions answered, we were now told we would be having a one on one interview. Because there were two stores hiring, the sephora staff split into each corner of the room and we had to go to whom ever we wanted to do our one on one interview with. I Got an email the next day saying I got through to the 2nd interview, this was with the assistant store manager, and we just went more in depth on our one on one. I got a call four days later saying I was sucessfull and I got the role.
If you left your section area full stock and clean, to come in the next morning to see the afternoon shift had left it in a bad state, no testers, stock unclean. How would you approach that person?
Call to talk to HR and they will have a simple chat with you. Thereafter will likely be known the outcome of the interview by the recruiter. Interview process is straightforward with not much fuss from company side.
Multi person interview. Be very open and personable. Focused a lot on client scenarios and personality. Have fun and ask questions that show interest. Be attentive and honest. Speak about what you would like to learn from the company and growth. Ask about ways to be an addition to the team and how things are handled at that location.
I went in for an in person interview. they had me do makeup on another beauty advisor. I had to do a daytime look and make a change to it that turned it into a nighttime look. Then after they saw my work they had me sit down in a room. we talked with manager Francia and she was lovely. we spoke about where I was in life and we discussed why I needed a job.
