Question 1
Describe the pressing/hot topics in the field you're recruiting for
Had the most appalling interview with their HR, who was completely condescending. Tried to nitpick on everything that they thought was a negative in my experience. Like they assumed negatives things off the bat repeatedly. Oh, you left this company, was it cause you were fired? No, I wasn't and I dont' know why you would assume that when it was obvious from my resume as well that wasn't the case. Oh, you didn't have this experience, that's a problem. You had my resume, you know I didn't because it wasn't on there. It felt like they were going through a list of why they thought I wasn't qualified. If that was the case, why did you even bother to interview me? Later on had a slightly better interview with the hiring manager, but this atmosphere was pervasive. It left such a foul feeling, that I'm never applying to any Servicenow jobs again. Reading the negative reviews on this website, it seems this place has a toxic work culture, and if my interview experience was at all representative of the work life here, I'm not surprised workers would feel that way.
I applied online. I interviewed at ServiceNow (Waltham, MA) in Oct 2018
Interview
initial 30-minute phone interview discussing corporate culture, job responsibilities, details of my experience that were relevant to the position requirements, building rapport with the interviewer and determining the next steps in the process
