Everything felt great until the onsite interview where the vibes just felt off. It didn't line up well with the expectations set by the technicial recruiter who walked me through what the process would be like. I was able to complete all the tasks they asked me to do but still left with the feeling that I had failed somehow even though I didn't know why. I wasn't given any clue about what success should look like, the process felt subjective and opaque. I really wished I had gotten to work with more of the team at the onsite interview so that the process was left up to more than just the judgement of a single person. I came to the onsite interview feeling excited for the opportunity and left feeling very sad and like it was probably not a good fit whether I was offered a job or not. Additionally, I was told that Sesame would provide financial reimbursement for my travel to and from the interview. When I followed up and sent receipts for my Lyft rides to and from the city they initially responded but once it got to the point where they needed to loop in financial people, the process stalled. It's been two weeks and I have not yet been refunded which is frustrating because I know this money is peanuts to them. Definitely keep in mind that they may not follow through if they give you the same offer.
