      I interviewed at Shadow Financial

      Interview

Submitted resume via online job site. Received an email back to set up phone screen with the usual questions like how much are you making, how much are you looking for, etc. Brought in for face to face with two people. I had three interviews this week and I was going to cancel this one because it didn't seem appealing. I went anyway because in my mind it doesn't make sense to turn down an interview. I thought maybe it would be a good experience and it's worth trying. The people and the position didn't seem terribly interesting, and I guess they felt the same way about me, which is fine . Sometimes things just don't fit. I sent my follow up thank you emails letting the people I met with know it was a great experience and thanking them for their time. I never heard back at all. I can see not responding to a thank you, but when someone comes in to meet with you I think it's common courtesy to let them know the position went to someone else, best of luck in your search, etc. If the company can't do the bare minimum for potential candidates that take time to come in and thank them, I'd imagine working there would be more of the same. I've been turned down for jobs before, but I've never not heard back at all. It's a job seekers market, but this place never got the memo.

      Question 1

No real questions. One person interviewing me said she had just looked at my resume before I came in. Why should I do my homework on your organization if you can't be bothered doing yours on me?
