I applied online and had an internal referral. In my first business interview after the initial phone screening, I was interviewed by the hiring manager. In our discussion, it seems like the job description they posted did not match the actual job and the information conveyed in the screening may not have accurately depicted the role, nonetheless, I was still interested although I don’t know if they thought I was a fit. They had pre-scheduled rounds 2 and 3 of interviews for later that week. Without explanation, the interviews were canceled with no one explaining why. I responded to the cancellations and asked if I was still in consideration for the role and no one responded. I followed up again and did not get a clear answer so I asked to be withdrawn from consideration.
