I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Shell (London, England) in Nov 2017
Interview
The process took just over one month
I completed the normal online application which also required a CV and a cover letter. It is optional but I would suggest adding one just to show them you are a serious candidate.
I was then invited to complete an online test (cubiks) which was 12 minutes long. There were three sections which were maths, verbal and abstract reasoning, all lasting 4 minutes. Maths had 16 questions, verbal had 24 questions and abstract had 10 questions.
I then had to complete an work styles questionnaire which lasted 10 minutes.
I then had to do a video interview which was 5 competency based questions which gave me 30 seconds to prepare and either 2/3 mins to record my answer (cant remember!)
After being successful at the previous stages, I was invited to the last stage of the process which was an online assessment. A case study on a fictional region was sent to me 48 hours before and I had to study it. I then had to answer questions to the interviews about the case study.
They said the interview would take 1.5 hours but in reality, it lasted 1 hour.
I was successful passing the final stage where I received a call of the outcome 1 week later!
I was not asked competency based questions in the final assessment.
The final video assessment was condiced by 2 interviewers
