Initially, I received a phone call from a recruiter, which eventually led to the opportunity to participate in a final interview. The final interview lasted approximately 50 minutes, during which both interviewers demonstrated professionalism, maintained a friendly demeanor, and left a highly favorable impression. Shortly thereafter, I received a job offer within a span of two days. However, the initial offer fell slightly below my minimum salary expectation, actually coming in slightly lower than my current salary. In an effort to address this, I expressed my concerns and sought to negotiate a higher remuneration. Fortunately, I managed to secure a modest increase in the salary offer. Given my genuine interest in the position and my enthusiasm to join the company, I took the initiative to discuss the matter with my current team leader. As a response, my team leader offered me a 10% salary raise to encourage me to stay in my current role. In light of this, I emailed the recruiter to inquire whether Shell would be able to match this offer with an additional 5%. Regrettably, my attempt to negotiate the offer was unsuccessful, and the recruiter informed me that the previous offer is no longer available. I must admit that I was somewhat surprised by how readily Shell and the recruiter decided to forego the opportunity, considering my genuine interest. Now that the job position has reappeared on LinkedIn, I can only extend my best wishes to Shell in their pursuit of another candidate with a similar background and language skills.
