BLUF: This was hands down the most unprofessional and time wasting interview process I have ever encountered and this was the first time I've ever had an interviewer just not show up at all for our scheduled interview. It was so bad that my advice would be not not to even waste your time applying with them.
I was contacted by a Shield AI recruiter via LinkedIn to see if I would be interested in a new Corporate Counsel role they were going to be posting. I scheduled an initial 30 min call with the recruiter for a week later. The recruiter was 15 mins late to the call, which should have been my first red flag. The call was your standard initial call with questions about your background and what interested you about the company, as well as a brief overview of their company. I was told the recruiter would pass my notes to the hiring manager and I would hear back shortly.
A few weeks later, I was notified the GC wanted to interview me and we set up a time for a Microsoft Teams video call. About 45 mins prior to the scheduled interview I was notified by the recruiter that "something urgent came up" and they needed to reschedule. No biggie, these things happen.
We rescheduled for the following week. I sat on the Teams conference call for a solid 20 minutes with no one showing up. I emailed the recruiter to let her know and against my better judgment, agreed to reschedule yet again for a week later.
Once again, about 45 minutes prior to the scheduled time for the interview, the recruiter emailed me to once again tell me something urgent popped up and they needed to reschedule. I did not reschedule.
From start to finish, the process took 1.5 months.
