I applied online directly through the Shionogi website. After a few weeks, I was sent an email through a messaging service asking me to attend for a telephone interview with the internal recruiter.
The recruiter called at the arranged time.
During this interview, I was requested to walk through my CV (which is pretty self explanatory) but for all jobs in the last 12 years. I was asked to be specific about the responsibilities I had in each role even though I had specified that the roles were similar in nature and the main reason I had changed organisations in my career had been for logistical reasons.
The interviewer came across as aloof and impersonal and appeared to be going through the motions which was unfortunate as this is not the best impression given to me as a potential candidate.
The interviewer confirmed at the end of the interview the following stages - CV to be discussed with hiring manager and then would inform me of any decisions.
Following a further 2 weeks, I had not heard anything so I called to see if there had been any decisions.
There was no answer but the following day, I received an email via a messaging site informing that the hiring team had been evaluating the role and had changed the job specification so they wouldn't be progressing my application.
Unfortunate for me but I would have appreciated a call to confirm or some further feedback re: my actual interview. In addition, there was no way to reply to the rejection email to request further feedback.
