The position was advertised by the company directly on the VIE Facebook group. After sending my CV + Cover Letter to the email address on the post, I was interviewed for 50 min by an HR person. The questions were classical interview questions about the company / role / my past experience etc. At the end of this interview I was told the the team in Milan (where the role was supposed to be based) would contact me for a second interview in the next few days. Which they never did. I was in contact again with this HR person during the week that followed and they kept telling me that they would get an answer from Milan soon... More than a month later I am still waiting...
