Most inconsistent HR department I've ever encountered. Although the HR woman I spoke with was extremely nice, following up and trying to get an update on the status of your candidacy was like pulling teeth.
I had my first initial phone interview in April and finally after several follow ups later, I received a word back in July... The HR woman I spoke to was so enthusiastic that the Director will be eager to meet me and got my hopes up for 3 long months while rejecting other amazing job offers. I understand that Shiseido is a huge company and HR probably has a heavy workload but I think they should be more considerate of people's time and at least have the decency to inform a candidate that they didn't get the offer.

Very general questions to get to know you better and why you want to work for Shiseido
Firstly the job was posted as 'Regional Trade Marketing Executive' , however when contacted by HR I was told that it's a coordinator position.
I had my first interview done and then a week later I had my second interview with the hiring manager, both interviews went well. I was told that I would recieve the case study a couple of days later however nothing was sent. I tried reaching out to the HR multiple times with no reply. Almost two weeks and a half later the HR sends me an email requesting that I complete the case study in two days and present it in person on that very same day.
When I asked the HR to kindly postpone the deadline due to short notice she replied saying I will speak to the hiring manager on when you can submit it next week. On the Monday of the next week, I emailed the HR asking for the new deadline she replied by saying we're not moving forward with your application, I chose not to respond to that email as I felt that it's very shameful for a big company such as Shiseido to handle the process in a very unprofessional manner.

I was referred by an employee online and a talent recruiter reached out to me a few weeks later for an exploratory interview at the end of January. It was very casual, just wanting to know my past experiences and interest in the company. Then, the talent recruiter invited me to an in-person interview with her and the hiring manager, separately. They both did a great job of describing the company's structure and the expectations of the team. A couple of weeks later, mid-March, I went in for another in-person interview with the ED. There was a brief waiting period after that in which the talent recruiter updated me saying that they were still in the decision process, which I liked as I was being kept in the loop. I received an offer over the phone a week and a half after my in-person with the ED. It was an overall positive experience, and I appreciated the follow-ups by the recruiter.
