I applied through other source. I interviewed at Shiver Entertainment
Interview
It started with a brief phone interview where we discussed my employment history. They're looking for people "passionate" about gaming and willing to work late nights. They cater food every day for their programmers, but I suspect it's just to keep them at their desks, working. Discussed games we were currently playing. They hyped up the office benefits, office ping-pong, team skydiving, but did not want to discuss work/home balance. Later I was emailed a take-home programming test to finish in 2 hours. The test is very low-level, it seems like they're looking for someone to modify their Unity 3D src and optimize the engine. Most gameplay programmers would not know this stuff, since programming like this died with the ATARI 2600.
