Nebulous. Applied, was never sent an email. Had a hiring manager just put something on my calendar without asking for availability. But the guy seemed pretty nice on the phone interview. Asked if he had any concerns, he said no. Which means he didn't want to mention what those concern(s) were which is a huge red flag. I'm able to progress through interview loops at many other comparable companies. I strongly think that I was racially discriminated against. Shopify needs to have mixed race interviewers as other diverse companies do. Having just 1 race in the initial interview allows for 1 interviewer to filter out races they personally dislike and filter in their own race. This has left me with a bad impression of shopify.
