The first interview was very casual with a 30 minute one-on-one with a recruiter from Shopify. It was basically a watered down life story interview and seemed to let them get a grasp of who I was and what I was about. The second interview was a technical interview. I had to answer mock emails as if I was someone already in the role and was given 15 minutes to respond to each email. Most of the questions were fairly straightforward, but there were definitely some that had me franticly searching their help center for answers. Slightly stressful, but straightforward. The final interview was a one hour conversation with two of my potential managers. It started off quite informal and their questions allowed me to get more comfortable with them. Overall, they were very nice and the interview went very smooth. About 3 days after this interview, I was called by my recruiter and offered the job. I counter-offered their initial offer as it was quite low and after a couple of days they responded by choosing to not move from their initial offer. I declined the job and looked elsewhere for employment.
