The screener interview consisted of a "life story" where the interviewer gave me a loose request of telling him my "life story". I wasn't sure if this meant to talk more about my skills, or about my personality so I tried my best to summarize my entire life as best as I could. In hindsight I think it was a very strange request and I don't think it did a good job at promoting my strengths and professional qualifications as described in the job. It's like it had nothing to do with it.
It lasted about 1 hour and I felt tired afterwards. Compared to other 15 minute screeners this was a huge waste of time for everyone. I don't think Shopify knows how to gauge qualifications.
