I saw the position on Glassdoor and applied through the corporate website. A recruiter sent me an email asking to have a call. We talked for a 1/2 hour. He asked about my experience, past roles and why I wanted to leave my present company and why I was interested in that role.
A lot of questions he asked were from the hiring manager. This went well. At the end he said he would like to set up a call with the hiring manager. A couple of days later I received a call from the hiring manager. Many of the same questions. Leadership based, critical thinking, and handeling of different situations, personalities, schedule conflicts. Very thorough. It was clear he was looking for a certain leadership style. This went well. I was invited for an on-site interview with peers (2 pHDs, 2 staff engineers, HR manager, and hiring manager - Sr Director). This was easier-mostly telling me about the role, challenges, and organization. Had a tour of the manufacturing facilities and was asked questions about what I saw, what I would change, how I go about making the changes.
