I was approached for this position. I did not apply to anything. Once the HR rep got in touch she began asking me questions like why I was applying for the position (that I still didn't know almost anything about as I hadn't been provided a JD), etc. Once I made the situation clear and in-person interview was set up - easy enough. The first interview was fine. The follow-up was quick and scheduling for the second interview was fine.
The second interview was with two people and that went fine (or so I thought). 4 weeks later I finally received a response (this is after I wrote a couple of weeks after the second interview (no response) and finally 4 weeks after) saying simply that my "application wasn't successful in this instance". Mind you, I was told during the interview that it would only take about a week and even in the case of a negative response I'd be provided feedback. I received none whatsoever.
Please keep in mind that I'm happy at my current company and was not looking for anything when I was contacted and began this process. While it is never pleasant to receive a rejection, that is not the reason for this review. As an HR professional, I can say that the whole process was fairly unacceptable from a candidate perspective. I understand that we are all busy, but especially after interviewing with three people face-to-face, to not get in touch for a month and then provide no feedback at all does not make the candidate want to consider applying with the company in the future.
If Siemen's HR & recruiting reads this, please keep this review in mind for the future.
