Was brought into the room by a shift supervisor who had no idea i was coming in for an interview spoke with him and the manager asked about my past experience ect then came time for describing what i would be doing " we are going to start you off as a gate guard and if patrol comes available you may get it was what i was told " i said that doesn't work for me your ad stated that the position was for patrol only he then proceeded to tell me im not giving you a 40 K vehicle to drive on your first day when the tampa branch of signal 88 had no problem giving me a patrol position had i took the job he then got cocky and said this interview is over and as i turned the corner into the hallway he started laughing hysterically as to mock me for asking to drive one of their precious vehicles this man was an ego maniac and a bully the position was clearly a BAIT AND SWITCH DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME'.

You'll come in, meet with one of the owners of the department. You'll go over background information. Make sure you dont have any felonies or disqualifying wrongdoings. Ie. Crimes of moral turpitude (shoplifting ect), no violent charges, (assault ect) and then will go over pay scale and what and how it works. What jobs they have available. Your hours you want to work a week. When you can start. They'll ask about shirt size and pant size. Recommend getting a concealable vest as well as a duty belt to carrie important items. Tell you what you can and cant carry ect. Acceptable pants to wear. Chain of command. Will have you download some apps on your phone if the process moves to the hiring phase. Explain the apps and the function. Give you a training day and time to meet with your FTO. Get you scheduled for fingerprinting, the only thing you have to do is get your local background check. And your county background check. Costs maybe 5 bucks total. Super cheap and easy.
