First, I had an interview with the recruiting personnel. This was a typical first interview, covering my reasons for wanting to work there, why I'm a good candidate, expected salary, and relocation. A few technical skills questions were asked, but since HR is not an expert in those areas, the questions were generic.
Then I had an interview with the head of Data Science in Ireland. This interview was totally focused on my career and expertise in data science. The head of Data Science, who holds a PhD in Computer Science, posed questions that were both specific and detailed. This was a hard interview, but he was respectful and considerate.
I didn't pass that interview, but this was my first interview for an industry position (from academia), so I valued the experience.
