I had a recruiter call scheduled, that she moved 5 mins before the actual call by 30 mins without stating the reason or checking if I had any other conflict. That was my first red flag. She asked for my background, why I was looking to change and salary requirements and Visa status.
Then I had a round with the hiring manager and his manager, which was mostly centered around my resume, my work experience, challenges, metrics, processes established, mostly about my current role.
Then I had a tech round with two folks that would have been my team. They focused a lot on what I have done, some based on their current challenges and gave me a very easy coding question. I thought the interview overall was very easy. They got back 3 weeks later that they were pursuing someone else. The recruiters did not respond to any of my mails, I had questions for the team while the interview was in-progress, absolutely no response at all.
My advice to the company - I understand there are a lot of candidates applying to any role, but I disliked the fact that they took my time for granted, did not give me the respect as a candidate and that shows how the culture within the company would really be if I was offered the role. Keep folks informed during the interview process no matter how many candidates you may get for a role, treat them how you would like to be treated if you were in their position.
My advice to folks applying - stay away from such companies. You can tell how the treatment will be for you once you start working there, by just the interview process itself.
