First was the recruiter screener call for about 30 min, then 30 min interview with team lead. I quickly learned that this position was a new combination of two previous roles that I think they laid off earlier in the year. They seemed to not know exactly what they wanted from this position, but also that they wanted everything. They want someone to lead their Customer Marketing initiatives, setting goals, optimizing, and constantly checking in with internal teams and external clients to make sure they're happy. Also, lead Partner Marketing, scoping out new partners, managing existing ones, optimizing on goals, representing the company at IRL conferences nationally and internally, conducting interviews with partners by scheduling photoshoots, managing the shoot, traveling, editing the content, and posting it on various channels. I learned all of this from the first 15 minutes of the 2nd interview, and summarized to the interviewer what he had mentioned thus far, and he basically backtracked a little but also admitted that yes, they need all of that from one person. This position was also listed at about $30-50k less than industry norm for that level. I did not go to the next round.
