Overall weird and rather unprofessional interview process for such an established company. Role sounded interesting if a little stressful but if you love books would be fun. Typical low ball pay for publishing industry. The actual interview was really casual more of an explanation of the role and a conversation about publishing than an actual interview. No behavioural or typical interview questions were asked. Didn’t hear anything for 3 weeks and was then randomly offered the job over the phone. I asked if the salary was negotiable and they said they would get back to me and then I just lever heard from them again. Wild way to conduct a hiring process. Red flags like crazy.
