I applied online and received an email within two weeks requesting an interview with the hiring manager (bypassing the HR screening interview). I met with the hiring manager and that person's supervisor a couple of days later and had a positive experience speaking with them. Two days afterward, HR reached out again and set up an interview with the director. I had a very positive discussion with the director as well and was feeling extremely optimistic and excited about the position. I sent thank you emails after each round and followed up with HR to check on the status of the application process, but I was ghosted in the end by everyone I met with. I would have considered this an exceptionally positive interview process, but it was disappointing to be ghosted after multiple rounds, and I found it to be very disrespectful and disheartening (especially given how much the interviewers emphasized company culture and the value placed on employees).
