      Security Guard Interview

      Jun 10, 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Six Flags in Feb 2012

      Interview

Interviewers were pretty easy to manipulate- and one was a security supervisor, the other a loss prevention full timer. Walked out knowing more about both of them than they did about me. This is a position you should be going into with some sort of criminal justice, security or military background. Any proof that you can bring with you (List of school courses relating to the field, example police/incident reports you've written), make it very easy for you because you'll appear more confident. They will try to trick you or throw your guard off with some of the questions- Examples I wasn't expecting, but handled fine: 1. What would you do if a guest vomited on you? 2. How do you defend yourself if you are punched or kicked by a criminal? 3. What would you do with an open kill zone gate? The loss prevention interviewer loves to test your patience. He'll ask you if you drink alcohol- if you respond no, he'll go on to ask if you ever have before work, school, etc. (Non-sense stuff). The environment around you during the process, you are going to feel like a number. Picture numerous long tables, supervisors on one side, candidates on the other. You hear the answers everyone else is giving around you and they may not even be the same dept.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 2

The process was okay. It took a while for them to send the zoom link like they said they would so that was frustrating. The questions were standard interview questions.

It was easy. There are three interviews. One with HR. One with a security supervisor and another with loss prevention. The interview process took two weeks but honestly I heard they can do it all in one day since they are desperate.
