Found the contact of the team leader through LinkedIn. Shared my interest in the filed of work and my skill set. Got the chance to present my work over Skype. Discussed the possible work opportunities in the team and firm-wide. I was also informed about the type of projects the company was currently engaged in and what would be skills and processes involved. It was a very useful discussion.
