Applied on line , got invited 2 weeks after. Took 3 days process to set a in person interview in New York office. 1 senior designer and 1 PM interviewed with me. Normal procedure with their introduction, straight forward and and both of them guided the whole interview with fast pace. So I even didn't have chance to introduce myself, they just cut in and speak speak speak, seems they were in a hurry or some what, even no glass of water, very unprofessional interview.
Finally when I had chance to talk about my work in portfolio, the senior designer interrupted me with other relevant questions, and I have to answer her. They did not reviewed my resume obviously, asked some question about my experience. Because I only got 1.5 yr experience and the job description noted for min 3 yr, but HR invited me because some other qualified sparkles. They did not know it, I suppose their is a lack of communication between departments.
I did follow up with HR, and interviewers respectively, no reply until a non-reply email showed up after 2 weeks telling me their is no position for you. So no second round interview basically means we reject you.
And they particularly asked me about my visa status, which another weak point for me, even though they all claim themselves as equal employer, but we know how it works behind it.
