Received an email for an Open Season Interview on 03/15/16
Interviewed on 03/16/16 at 6pm.
CJO received on 03/28/16
The interview took 3 hours lol.
I arrived at the interview at 5pm (an HR early).. Mingled with the other interviewees for about 30-40 mins. At 5:45pm they started checking us in and measuring our height. U must be at least 5'0" if not, they will send u home. It was about 55 of us there.. They split us up into two groups and then they began the interviews. The first part, is the 60 second speech about why u want to be a flight attendant. Please don't speak about your personal life, kids, nor how many years u have been in customer service. Keep it short and sweet and don't be extra. Go up there, smile, speak clearly, and make eye contact with the other interviewees. Please dress appropriately, a nice pair of heels, button down shirt, and some black slacks or a skirt. After the 60 second introductions, they take a 30 minute break to make a list of names that they want to interview for the one on one sessions. This is where the nerves comes in at (lol). But after that, they post the names, we had about 55 in the entire group and they picked 18 of us.. After that, u are asked to go sit in a room until your name is called for the one on one part. This is where they go over general questions like how are u.. Do u have a valid passport.. (I would recommend u saying yes, even if u don't have one. U have time to get it) then u are asked about three to four situational questions. One of the first questions is: why do u want to be a flight attendant. Switch it up from the answer u gave prior to the 60 second speech. The next one was, what would u do if u had an irate passenger. When was the last time u were annoyed.. Advice would be: don't say I was annoyed this day because of this and that. Say u usually don't get upset easily but u do your best to take control of the situation. It does take 10-14 days to hear back depending on the background check. Don't get discouraged if u don't hear back within seven days. They tell u 10-14 for a reason. Good luck everyone!!!!
