It was an evening interview and lasted from 5:00 PM check in, until 8:30/9:00 PM depending on how far you got. They close the doors PROMPTLY at 6:00 PM so if you get there 10-5 minutes prior, don't bother going in at all because arrival time says a LOT about you. I got there about 40 minutes prior, around 5:20, and there were still people who'd gotten there before me. Upon your initial arrival, they'll ask for your resume, as well as if you've submitted it online. They'll also measure your height (b/w 5 ft. - 6'3) They had 3 stages to the interview: 1. Informational stage - where current flight attendants provide a brief overview of the interview process, training and what it would be like having a career as a flight attendant for SkyWest. In this stage you are simply listening. Be sure to sit up straight, maintain eye contact, and smile, ESPECIALLY if they look at you!!!! After the information session, they'll allow for you to ask questions about what they talked about. Be sure to ask a question, even if it's a clarification question. It's another opportunity for you to get noticed and heard, so take advantage. Note - DO NOT ASK ABOUT SALARY. Did I mention Smile? 2. 1 minute Intros - Following the a short break, we were called to stand in front of the group, give our name and say why would BE a great flight attendant in a minute or less. THIS IS HUGE and says SOOOO MUCH!!! Things to remember Smile, Eye contact, Stay on topic SMILE. Also, if you have a note book, DO NOT USE IT. That's instant elimination. 3. If you're lucky, you'll be selected for Individual Interviews - Following the one minute introductions, we waited for almost an hour as the recruiters deliberated in another room as to which 6 individuals would be chosen to stay for individuals interviews out of the 30+ people who came initially*.
