First, has anyone that attended the group interview in SLC on April 5th heard any information if they’ve been selected to start training on the 25th? Pre Recruiting Event: - Be sure to apply online and bring current resume to your group interview in the city of your choosing. - All candidates MUST be between 5’0” and 6’0” tall. This is verified upon checking into the group interview. Skywest Airlines Flight Attendant Recruiting Event Company History and Job Specifics: (Approx. 30-45 minutes) - Doors close promptly at 6:00 pm and 4 current, veteran Flight Attendants, who split their duties with recruiting events and in flight service, take turns providing an overall agenda for the evening, brief history of Skywest Airlines, specific details required for the Flight Attendant position, i.e. job description, responsibilities, salary and benefits information, training & on-boarding, if hired, agreement to relocate, if you’re requested by Skywest Airlines, possession of current US passport required, and other information necessary to apply for the position. 15 minute break (those in attendance who choose not to pursue this position have an opportunity to excuse themselves). Group Interview Session (Approx. 60 minutes based upon ~25 applicants) - Each applicant is required to answer the same question. Answers should be held to about 60 sec. (1 min.) to allow everyone an equal opportunity for consideration during this round of evaluations. - Evaluations are recorded by the previously mentioned Flight Attendant Recruiting Team. - The question is basically, “why should Skywest Airlines select you for the open Flight Attendant position”. (This is paraphrased, not the exact question word-for-word. - Each candidate has their opportunity to answer the question in the allotted time allowed. Group Interview Evaluation Meeting (Approx. 30 minutes) - Flight Attendant Recruiting Team meets together to review the individual answers from each candidate during the Group Interview Session. - Candidates selected to move on to the next round of interviewing are posted notifying who has been selected for a one-on-one, face-to-face interview with 1 of the 4 members of the Flight Attendant Recruiting Team. - Candidates not selected are excused. - Selected candidates must wait to be called for their opportunity to be interviewed individually. Individual Interview Sessions (Approx. duration depends upon number of candidates selected and which order you’re selected by the Recruiting Team). - First, a brief review of requirements for the Flight Attendant position is completed. - Acknowledgement and agreement of requirements is confirmed by the Recruiting Team member conducting your interview. (See comments above regarding Job Specifics). - 5 Questions are asked ranging in topics regarding your strengths and weaknesses & how you’d handle various scenarios if you were selected for the position. - Opportunity for candidate to ask any questions and confirmation of next steps in the selection process. Post Group Interview Recruiting Session (Approx. 2 weeks later) - Selected candidates are notified through their registered email address when you applied for the position if you are invited to start Flight Attendant training for Skywest Airlines. - Non-selected candidates are required to wait at least 90 days to re-apply and attend another Group Interview Recruiting Session
