I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines in Mar 2011
Interview
Initially, you apply online. Their is not a phone interview to follow, just an offer to attend an open interview at your own expense. I went to city of the open interview. I signed in and was assigned a room and was one of approximately 75 people int he room. I estimated between 300 and 350 people were in attendance totalled in all the rooms. Flight attedants gave a brief overview of the company and the requirements of the position. Their was not a power point presentation. We were given a short break. Upon returning we were to give a 60 second speech infront of everyone in the original room, as to why we would be a great flight attendant. Many people went over, way over the 60 seconds. Their was another break during which they cut at least half of the hopefuls. The names of the ones that got to stay were posted on the door outside of original room. From there, we all waited for our turn at a 20 minute 1 on 1 interview. This took many hours. We could leave after it was completed, but did not know if we were selected until about a week after. The interviews consisted of basic stuff as well as a few scenarios " what would you do if..." I was selected as part of the pool waiting for a class sometime in the future.

It was a virtual one on one and after this process they alerted me of my training date a week later. The process was so pretty seemless and the company is good to work for but any little mistake you make you can be out.
The interview process was quick and easy. The recruiters were nice and answered all of my questions. They explained how the benefits worked and were very knowledgeable and the company.

Interview
Most of the interview involved picking apart my previous work experience. Asked a few basic questions, they are just looking for a certain look. It’s obvious. My look did not fit the part
