I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines in Mar 2025
Interview
I did end up withdrawing my application after this experience, I did not proceed to the final interview. I was not pleased the quality of the required group session prior to the final interview.
The training date was provided at the start of the session. Representative stated if this date does not work for you, please apply at a later time. It would have been beneficial to have known the training date prior to the session. I scoured through all correspondence and this was not the case.
The recruiting representatives repeatedly struggled with the microphone function on Teams. Additionally, they did not seem to have relevant information about the training, stating “It’s hard to say, I haven’t attended training in 25 years.” This was lighthearted, but still represented a disconnect from the training process.
Representatives did not give information on perspective base assignment out of training. They gave rough answers of what would be considered senior and what would be considered a junior base.
Representatives gave many half answers and personal opinions instead of actual statistics or references to company policy.
I’d like to clarify that participants had great questions, but the SkyWest team did not come prepared with the stats or information to answer them.
My intention is not to come across as mean spirited, but this session stuck out as inefficient and unprofessional, with room to grow.
It was a virtual one on one and after this process they alerted me of my training date a week later. The process was so pretty seemless and the company is good to work for but any little mistake you make you can be out.
The interview process was quick and easy. The recruiters were nice and answered all of my questions. They explained how the benefits worked and were very knowledgeable and the company.
