I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Slalom (Boston, MA) in Feb 2019
Interview
Unfortunately one of the least professional hiring and interview processes I’ve experienced.
I applied in January, and was contacted for an initial phone screen. After agreeing and scheduling a time, the recruiter rescheduled twice. After finally connecting (in early Feb), the recruiter indicated that she thought I was a strong candidate, asking me to send available Fridays to meet the team in Boston. I sent 6 weeks of availability, from mid February through the end of March. This was for an June or August start date, as I indicated both would work for me.
After 2 weeks (mid Feb), I had heard nothing about the next round, so reached out to inquire, and received a response indicating that the recruiter was still trying to figure out available times.
Another 4 weeks passed (now mid March, and thus the remainder of my previously indicated available Fridays), and I still heard nothing, so I reached out again. At this point, I was told that Slalom was no longer hiring for a June start date, but that the August start date was still an option. I was asked if this would work for me, and if so, the recruiter would like to connect to discuss next steps. As I indicated earlier in the process, I mentioned that the August start date would work for me.
3 weeks passed (now early April) and I, yet again, failed to receive any response. I inquired one more time, only to have my email ignored again (now May).
Very sour experience and worries me about communication of and management of clients.
