      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Slalom (Scottsdale, AZ) in Apr 2019

      Interview

The interview process was one of the most easy going processes I had been through. It started with a conversation with Shane Mettille. Shane was incredibly knowledgeable about Slalom and specifically, the Phoenix office. He provided lots of great insight into the opportunities available, salary expectations (refreshing to have this up front), and the culture of Slalom. Throughout the interview process, I felt that Slalom was getting to know me as a person just as much as I was getting to know them. This felt very natural and non-pressuring. My interview process progressed to an interview with a seasoned Consultant that was aligned to my business interests and qualifications. There were some questions around how I would solve certain problems, the landscape of the business I was stepping into, and where I might fit. The final interview was with the Practice Director, and it was a very value-based and forward looking conversation. What are my values and how are those reflected in how I conduct myself in the workplace. What am I expecting out of my career over the next 3-5 years and does that align. Overall, the process was thorough, organized, and very relaxed. I was traveling at the time, so their talent acquisition team made scheduling interviews a breeze and respected that I had other priorities. Very clear and up front communication.

Mostly standard consulting interview questions: ask about your past work experience, what were the difficulties and how you overcame these difficulties, etc. Overall process took a little bit longer than expected due to difficulty to get interviewers' availability.
