Interviewed for the Data and Analytics Academy program. I got coffee with a recruiter, then had a phone interview with the program hiring manager that was mostly just going over my work history. I then had a technical phone interview with a current employee which again mostly went over my work history, what I did for projects, why I chose a specific type of model. I then went in for a round of interviews with 4 current employees who had a range of roles in the company. They really want people who are extremely positive and smiley. While I consistently got back positive comments about my prospects of getting hired (pretty much everyone said I would be a good fit there, one person even said they would be surprised if I didn't get hired), I ended up not getting an offer, which I think was due to the fact that I'm a bit reserved and not overly smiley. Also there would have been one more round of interviews, I think involving personality tests, if I had gone on to the final round.
Overall a positive experience, I just felt a bit led on.

It sounds like overall you had a good experience with our team, but clearly we didn't execute the process perfectly if you felt led on. That is absolutely not our intention in the interview process. Spoke with recruiter. Didn’t have anything right now; I don’t think anything will come of it. But it was nice of them to reach out knowing I was interested. I’ve interviewed a few times but all three times nothing really happened so hoping I stay in their system.

Interview
Multiple less-formal conversations with two different recruiters, which moved into three formal interviews. Before my first interview, I was assigned a tech-challenge that I had roughly about a week to complete. The first interview was an hour-long technical interview, where we went over my solution to the take-home challenge. I discussed my thought-process, challenges I ran into, and things I would add if I were to have additional time. The second interview was 30 minutes, and was a behavioral format. The final interview was around 45 minutes, and was with the director of the team, in which they assessed team-fit and discussed the culture of Slalom.
