Contacted by 3rd party recruiter via LinkedIn. Replied to email. ILO setting up a time recruiter opted to randomly call the next day. Interview went very well, he advised in wanting to move forward with process, requested my resume, would be in touch shortly regarding next steps, Sent Thank you email. After 3 days inquired and recruiter responded 2 days after, apologized but then contradicted himself and challenged sufficient selling experience (remember he reached out to me based on my exp). Provided a professional/corrected response while reaffirming genuine interest and my specific qualifications. Regardless, having been in the industry their are recruiters who are true ambassadors to their clients and those who do a disservice to themselves and the clients they serve. Proper etiquette would have been to be professional follow-through, not string candidates along or at least end the process so the candidate experience is positive
