I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Smith+Nephew (New York, NY) in Oct 2012
Interview
Interviewed with the senior rep in person 2 times. Interviewed with the Director of Sales. Took an online personality test. Interviewed with the US VP of Sales. The interview process was straightforward. They ask typical questions about past performance/situations to see how you responded and understand your thought process/strategy. Be ready to give a lot of specific examples of past successes and tie them into how you would do the same things at S&N.

Question 1
What was your least favorite thing about your last job?
Tell me about a time when you were in a stressful situation and there was a deadline to complete a project. What did you do?
Long, but thorough. They spend a lot of time getting to know you. The process from hiring to getting out in the field is over 3 months though. I’m not sure if it’s changed, but it’s a lot of video interviewing. Once you make it to interviewing the VP, you’ve pretty much made it.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Smith+Nephew in Sep 2025
Interview
Pleasant exchanges with the recruiter Maria. She sent the basic questions via text message.
Next round was a virtual interview with the manager. It was fairly easy until he stated this was a waste of his time. I dodged a bullet there apparently...
There were multiple interviews including an AI interview. I made it through the first two and waited for months for the third but never heard back. Months later I got an automated email that I would not be hired.
