The Sales Director of this company in Brazil posted openly on LinkedIn she was looking for Account Executives. I approached her, sending an introduction message with my CV attached. One important note: there was NO job description or link to apply for this position (nothing in her original post, no job post on LinkedIn, no job post on their website) and I said that to her. She replied saying their hiring process is very well structured and highlighted 4 points: (1) CV should be in English (The CV I had just sent was already in English); (2) I should provide the contact of a reference / previous line manager, preferable their WhatsApp (very unusual to be asked at such early stage of the process, but ok); (3) She reassured the candidate should speak English as the global leaders of the company who would be part of the hiring process are based overseas (very common in the Technology sector, and not a problem for me who already worked in many other multinationals and overseas. She didn't even open my CV); (4) a cover letter in English! After this reply, I opted to resend my CV, now with my cover letter and references to her email (available in her LinkedIn profile). In the next days, she boasted herself for having received more than 500 CVs in the last two days after her post. I've never heard anything back from her (and probably many others), as a few weeks later, there was a proper job post on LinkedIn and website with job description and link for application. I don't understand what goes through the mind of a Sales Director of a top technology company to make a post like that, without a clear process / system behind, although she said it was very well structured.
