I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Snowflake in Aug 2018
Interview
1) Recruiter reached out for a 20min screening call. (I did not apply)
2) Had screening call about a week later. Recruiter did not provide too many answers to my questions, referred me to read job posting on company website.
3) Received a follow up request for a 30min call with head of design.
4) Had call about a week later. Call was pleasant, talked about my experience and heard more about the role and company. The role description and answers to my questions were not exactly enticing and at this point I was already convinced that the role would not be a good fit.
5) Received a follow up request to do an 1 hour portfolio deep dive phone call with same person.
6) Had the call about 2 weeks later. I primarily accepted the call to see if there was anything that would change my opinion about the role and also to use as portfolio presentation experience. Call went well but seemed slightly more intense.
7) Received an automated message a week later that they decided not to move forward.
Takeaways: Overall smooth process, but actual pitch of the job position lost my interest early on.
