First, I had to clear a preliminary written test in analytical reasoning, digital logic design and c-programming fundamentals. I was then called on site for interview. The interview process consisted of 4 rounds. The first round was on digital logic design.The interviewer was a man in his sixties and you could tell he was very experienced. The interviewer began by tearing apart my credentials and criticizing me for writing what I felt was right in the application form that I had to fill before the start of my interview. I defended my opinions on my strengths and weaknesses but it was all in vain. He made a point to criticize everything I wrote on my form. I was then asked about my final year project which was a voice integrated robot.He asked which robot was the greatest in the world. I answered saying humanoid. To that he replied saying " No, a human being is the greatest robot". He then explained his answer saying humans have accomplished so much and that makes them great robots. It didn't really make sense why he thought human beings are robots. I asked him why he thought humans are robots and in what context. He didn't like being questioned apparently so he gave a frustrated look and he began saying the same stuff about robots again. I'd by then got the feeling that the interview was not going well. He then asked me about the subjects I had taken in my final year and asked me to choose a favorite one. I chose "Digital Design through Verilog". He started with a basic question on flipflops and then quickly switched to analysis of complex digital circuits. I had to draw the waveforms of the output for a given input to a digital circuit. He then tested my understanding of basic boolean logic which was easy to answer.He returned to questions on digital logic and after a few questions he asked me to wait in the lobby for the next round in which I had to take a written test in C. The test in C largely dealt with pointers and was of moderate difficulty. I was able to answer most of the questions and I was satisfied with my performance in the C test. The next round was analytical reasoning and personality in which the interviewer put certain questions on reasoning and I had to write down the answers on a paper. This was easy and the interview went just fine. The next interview was after lunch and it was with the MD.This guy was at ease and made me feel comfortable. He asked me general questions on how I came to know of the company, my background and why I wanted to work there. He then told me about the work they do and the terms of contract. He explained that the selection would be relative as several candidates were interviewed that day and that I'd be told of the decision in few days. He then asked me if I had any questions? I asked him about the scope of growth in the company. He explained the hierarchy.I then asked him about my performance in the interview to which he replied by saying my performance in the digital logic design interview left a lot to be desired. I got my message the first guy had given me a low score and so there was no chance that I'd be selected. So people just so you know the digital logic design interview is crucial so be confident and don't question the interviewer-you might upset him. Also make sure you know C-programming well because one of my friends was told that he was rejected because he did not perform well on the C-programming test. The work environment seemed casual and people were approachable. However, they didn't seem to be very professional. All the best!!!
