      Communications Role Interview

      Jul 29, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Softtek

      Interview

Very long process for a “no” Applied in late February, they reached out to me for an initial interview in mid-May. The recruiter was wonderful and communicative. Initial interview was easy, mainly had me give a general rundown of my experience, then they gave background on the role and ensuring a match of capabilities. 2nd interview was about 2.5 weeks later in early June- The interviewing manager was over 10 mins late to the call, so I logged off, but she ended up calling me and we got it done. I wasn’t really asked any questions during this, instead it was them giving an overview of the structure of the position, and how it interacted with other roles. They said they’d like to have me meet with the client, and gave warnings on what to discuss, and what not to discuss. Said it would take about a week to schedule. 3rd interview wasn’t scheduled until a month later in early July after some back and forth, and long periods of silence between. That was a bit frustrating, but my recruiter was as communicative as possible. The day of the client meet-and-greet, everyone was on time, but it was the strangest “non-interview” I've ever had. A bit dry and abrasive. The interviewer was cut off mid sentence because it was getting “too interviewy”. Wasn’t really able to ask or be asked questions, so I couldn’t get a feel for how it went. Radio silence for two weeks until mid-July, then I was told there would be an update by the next day. Did not actually receive said update until almost 2 weeks later, where I was told they were moving forward with someone else, but they’d keep me in mind for future roles. Recruiter was wonderful, again, but a bit of a disappointing, drawn out, 5 month process just for nothing at the end of it.
