They reached out to me, and there was an initial screening that was pleasant. I was given some information about who they were and what to expect as an employee of STG, and I was asked a few questions about my experience. Then I was told that the manager for the position would reach out to set up a full skills assessment interview. A couple days later, we set up the interview appointment over email.
She called at the appointed time. Things got off to a bad start, as right out the gate she started asking leading questions that she wanted to get me to admit to things she assumed about me. I didn't catch on to it right away, so I didn't understand her line of questioning. In a first for me, I got irritated with her and her questions, because they didn't make any sense. She seemed to be asking me the same question over and over again, using different words to ask the same thing. So I just started giving her the same answer. That started to irritate her, and I was already irritated, so it basically just turned into a train wreck of an interview. I am a pretty good interview, and I know how to do the job they were interviewing me for, so it's really unfortunate that it went the way it did. I believe the line of questioning, the attitude of the interviewer, and the assumptions she made before we ever spoke were what ruined it.
Overall, my impression of STG is very poor, and if they were to reach out to me again to discuss employment opportunities (I doubt they will) I would decline.
