I was contacted by a recruiter and had an initial 45 minute screening. The first actual interview was 30 minutes long with a condescending and dismissive hiring manager. I was then invited for a 3.5 hour on-site interview with 5 different interviewers, very excessive. Most of the questions were not technical, just hypothetical and situation based instead. The same rude hiring manager ended my hours of interviews without any manners, no ‘Thank you for coming’ or ‘It was nice meeting you’ - just walked away. The entire situation was so avoidant and awkward as if I was only invited to prove that the team interviewed some specific amount of candidates before giving out an offer. Obviously, I did not get an offer, and was notified of this a few days later. Please don’t waste candidates’ time with such long interviews for a company that’s essentially a start up. Very bad impression of SolidPower and its employees for allowing this energy in their workplace.
