How ironic is it that a mental health platform, like SonderMind declines an Executive Assistant application that has over 8 years of experience and direct experience within mental health care. They couldn't ask for a candidate better than that. I'm not sure if SonderMind uses AI to filter through resumes or just has a poor recruiter in place but my personalized cover letter. resume and experience matched exactly what they need should have at least earned me a conversation.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SonderMind (Denver, CO) in Aug 2022
Interview
The interview process took about 4 weeks with six rounds of interviews. An initial phone screening, a Zoom call with another Executive Assistant, a Zoom call with the EA and Chief of Staff, a coffee meetup with both of them, an in person interview with the COO at the office and a Zoom interview with the CMO. It sounds like this amount of interview rounds is uncommon and was due to scheduling conflicts where a panel wasn't able to be organized (hence the individual conversations with C-Suite).
The hiring team were SO lovely and really advocated for me - they took the time to get to know me personally as well as professionally and I felt very seen and respected.
Ultimately it came down to myself and one other candidate - while I didn't get the position, I think that decision was based more-so on what the Executives wanted.
The interviews/conversations I had really highlighted what an incredible company SonderMind is (especially if you're all about aligning yourself with common ethos). I have been encouraged to apply for other positions as they came up, so overall - an enlightening and good experience (if not a wee bit stressful).
