I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sonic in Jun 2009
Interview
I applied to be a server. Although I didn't have experience, I was willing to bend over backwards and work dozens of hours a week for the job. My only experience was volunteering, as I was in my 10th year of high school. (I helped count hundreds of dollars through my service club)
The interview couldn't have lasted more than 5 minutes although I offered to clean the toilets, they still never hired me. The person who interviewed me couldn't be a day older than 20 years old.
Looking back I am much more thankful they didn't hire me. My current job has allowed me to grow and I now make 150% minimum wage without a high school diploma.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sonic (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2026
Interview
interview was okay, interviewer was engaged and attentive. I came in with zero experience and they seemed to not mind. They kept me around after the first interview for a second round and then sent me home. did not hear back
Short. Just asked me what I can do and when I wanted to work. No real questions that relate to the position or what my previous experience is. Really disappointed.
