I've interviewed with Sony a couple of times, and the process has always been relatively the same. I hope that this is not universal across the company, but it has always been a disappointing process in my personal experience. The process always has a lot of momentum and is overwhelmingly positive at the beginning until the hiring manager interview. Maybe it's just been bad luck, but I haven't had a company be more dehumanizing during their interview process than Sony. Processes have always been multiple months for me, and all the hiring manager interviews I've had have been rather unpleasant. It's difficult because Sony is a powerful leader in music that I highly respect, but I tell myself that based on these interactions it may not be the best place to work for. Interviews have always felt very interrogative there, and many hiring managers I've interviewed with have asserted their dominance during the interview whenever it has been tried to be framed as a conversation. Every time it has been 3 - 5 rounds, then a ghosting for a few weeks or months until I final rejection. Maybe I'll give them another shot in a few years, but I'll stick to working and interviewing at other music and entertainment companies for now.
