I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sotheby's (New York, NY) in Jan 2018
Interview
Was contacted my a internal recruiter (apparently they only have two in NY) and we set up an in person interview.
Interview was 30 minutes on a Friday and I was contacted the following Tuesday to set up a second interview on that Friday. I responded and let her know I was available during her offered time frame and to let me know who I would be meeting.
Thursday, the day be for the offered interview time, I still had not any response, so I sent and 8am follow email. By 2pm, still nothing. I followed up with an email to the other recruiter and promptly got an out of office. The original person finally responded and said there was no availability on Friday, but she would call me the next day...
She did not call. I emailed Tuesday - one week after the email when I was asked for a 2nd interview and asked for follow up if we were not moving forward. Unsurprisingly, there was never any response.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sotheby's (New York, NY) in Jun 2019
Interview
Comprehensive but went at a quick pace, received next day feedback/scheduling of second round. Standard questions: strengths/weaknesses, why do you want to work here etc. Kind recruiters and receptionists, overall feel of the space was positive, inquisitive, and encouraging vs the aloof/intimidating reputation large art houses can have.

Interview
Submitted online application and received a call from the HR, had a pleasant phone interview and then scheduled to meet the 2 executives the role would be assisting. Met only with one of the executives who was a very pleasant person. It was a very human approach and personable interview. Nothing like some of those interviews asking if i wanted to fight a duck or a horse.
