Interview
I met with a recruiter and a department head second and encountered pretty standard interviewing questions, such as walking them through my resume and my education. My second interview was scheduled on the call with the recruiter, and it has been a relatively quick turnover thus far.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sotheby's (New York, NY) in Mar 2025

Phone interest with HR, discuss the premise of the role and interest. Then, conduct two rounds of video interviews, meeting with two team members to discuss interest, knowledge, and other related skill sets.

What other things besides cataloging that you are interested in doing?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sotheby's (London, England) in Oct 2022
Interview
Initial interview with Department heads via video, both very nice and easy-going. Took several weeks to hear anything. Second interview was in person, and went objectively very well. Unfortunately I was never ever told the outcome, despite following up with HR many times via email and voicemail. Several other reviews also seem to have had the same experience with Sotheby's HR. Shocking way to treat people who have given their time to interview.
