I applied online and then got an email from a recruiter for the selection of my resume within 10 days. Round 1. I was given a home assignment to draft a Test Plan for their mobile application. Round 2. Phone screening with Technical Recruiter discussed my experience and skills for this position. She clearly explained the next steps and was completely transparent about the whole process. Round 3: Technical Interview with Senior Test Engineer. It was telephonic with coding challenges on Coderpad but was turned to video interview upon our mutual agreement. I had a good conversation about the basics of the QA Engineer role. she gave me a coding challenge to test my coding ability. I was asked about my experience with API Testing and android debugging tool. Though I didn't have any experience I clearly explained that I am excited to learn them. Hint for preparing the next round: I studied API Testing, Postman tool, and basics about the method, headers, and logs. Plus, the basics of Android debugging. Round 4: It was a 1:1 interview with 4 different managers. I had a good conversation with all of them. For entry-level jobs, they are more interested in knowing that if you are willing to learn more. Plus, my preparation helped me to give some answers. Post discussion with a recruiter: I was having another offer but I was more interested to work with SoundHound. I clearly explained the recruiter about my situation and interest. She helped me in expediting the process. Unfortunately, I didn't get this offer, as I was told that another candidate was having more experience. But overall I really had a great experience to go through every step. I will surely to reapply here, whenever a next opportunity relevant to my skills pops up!
