Received a link to a multiple choices quizz about : general CS, python.
Got a call with one of the cofounders, easy question (Linked list class, how to reverse a LL) and means of a geometric laws.
I asked if the job was still available as it was not on their website anymore. He told me that they were hesitating between doubling a MLE posiition as it was more aligned with my background or the SWE i was interviewing for.
Told him i'm ok with both but to LET ME KNOW, as it is not the same preparation.
Received a email to schedule a SWE interview. Seems the choice was made by them.
First call, quite easy coding exercise and lots of ML questions. As it was a SWE, ML algorithms position, I was surprised and told it to the interviewer. never mentions that it was not a SWE position.
Made it to next stage, 5 hours interview back to back. The team is located in CA, I linve in Pairs, meaning interviews from 7pm to 11pm. OK
Asked for more informations about the different rounds, got no answer, OK
Relatively classic : Systel esign, classic coding exercise and then 1 hours long ML interview. Weird for a SWE position and obv did not prepared for that as THEY TOLD ME SWE POSITION.
Received a call from their "bright" technical recruiter because they wanted to schedule YET ANOTHER ROUND. I asked "what for? don't you have enough data points to take a decision?"
"Well, we found you to be a bit weak in ML for a MLE position so we want to move you in a SWE position"
"You mean the one I was told i was interviewing for?"
Anyway biggest waste of time, 8 hours of interview and these clowns can even tell you what you are interviewing for.
Absolutely unprofessional.
