I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SpaceX in May 2023
Interview
Was reached out to by a recruiter after mass applying to like 30 positions one night. For some reason I skipped the recruiter interview and went straight to the first technical interview (30 min) with two engineers on the team. Next interview was a design presentation (20 min of presentation, +20 min of answering questions) for about 7 engineers and managers on the team. Last interview I went on site and had a quick technical interview followed up by a long site tour and random technical questions as we walked which wasn’t too bad.

Question 1
I’m my design presentation they asked about my Ansys vs analytical calculations. I had to explain why values were different, which I think was more correct, and why I used each. And if you’re talking about Ansys make sure you understand the setup and why you did what you did.
I went through the first interview round. It was a 30 min phone call with mostly behavioral and some technical questions. Going through resume and elaborating on flagship project. Practice technical questions that would be similar for the next round interview.
